David Cann

Biography: 
Assistant and Associate Professor, Materials Science and Engineering, Iowa State University, 1997-2005. Dr. Cann is affiliated with the interdisciplinary Materials Science Graduate Program at Oregon State University. At Oregon State since 2005.

Research Interests: 
The electronic properties of ceramics, including dielectric properties, piezoelectricity, defect chemistry, crystal chemistry, non-stoichiometry, synthesis methods, and solid-state phase transformations. Applications include capacitors, energy storage, piezoelectric sensors and transducers, transparent conductors, chemical sensors, and interfacial phenomena.
