Jonathan Hurst received his Masters and PhD in Robotics, as well as his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in 2008, 2004, and 2001 respectively. He has resided at Oregon State University since 2008, currently as an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Hurst’s research is in the mechanical design of controlled, highly dynamic robotic systems capable of swift motion. Recently Hurst’s research’s focus has been in force control and energy efficiency topics in legged locomotion.
