Thomas Herron

Thomas Herron received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from University of Idaho, Moscow, ID, in 1986 and his M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, in 2004. Since 2011, He has been working as an engineering consultant in Bend, OR.

From 2004 to 2007, he was a Research Assistant with the Microtechnology Breakthrough Institute at Oregon State University in Corvallis where he worked on development of heat activated cooling systems and thermal energy storage systems.   From 2007 to 2008 he was Sr Systems Engineer with Fuel Cell System developer, Idatech Corporation, in Bend, OR.  From 2008 to 2011, he was Sr Systems Engineer for PV Trackers where he developed 2-axis Tracker control algorithms including sophisticated backtracking algorithms for tracker-to-tracker shading avoidance.
