David Hamby

Dr. Hamby received his B.S. in Physics(w/honors) from Mercer University in 1984. He received his M.S. in Health Physics from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1986. He received his Ph.D. in Health Physics, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1989.

Dr. Hamby has been at OSU since 1999 and is currently a professor in the College of Nuclear Engineering & Radiation Health Physics.

Dr. Hamby’s primary research interests are: nuclear instrumentation development, radiation dosimetry, uncertaintly/sensitivity analysis, environmental assessment, and biokinetic modeling of trace minerals.
