Formaldehyde Free Adhesives

 

Technology Description

 

The invention describes adhesive compositions produced from abundant and renewable resources such as decayed lignocellulosic materials, as well as other inexpensive components such as borates and/or polyethyleneimine. Also, disclosed are lignocellulosic composites that are made from the adhesive compositions.

 

  • Applications: Any application currently utilizing phenol-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resins, such as wood composite materials.
