I am a Research Biological Scientist (USDA-NIFA Fellow) and a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Oregon State University). My expertise lies in the identification, validation, and quantification of molecular targets and reliable biomarkers for the detection of diseases, and the evaluation of progression, remission, and the efficacy of dietary interventions, both in human and animal models. My broad background in Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Metabolism turned into an interest in Biomarkers discovery. I am keenly interested in the predictive value of oxylipins concentrations in plasma for CAD screening, which could also have strong prognostic capability, thus allowing a systems biology approach to patient management in developing and developed countries
