Mr. Brown received his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University in 2015 and 2017, respectively. His M.S. research was on the optimization of series hybrid powertrains for unmanned aerial vehicles, in which he developed an engine test facility and a flight worthy hybrid powertrain.
From 2015 to 2017, he was a NASA Graduate Research Fellow and participated in two internships at NASA Langley Research Center. His work at NASA involved computational modeling of an experimental elastomer wing component, and computational modeling of UAVs with experimental propulsion systems. His research interests are in aerospace propulsion, including space systems.
Mr. Brown is a student member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics
