Dr. John Simonsen is a Professor of Wood Science and Engineering in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University. Research areas in Dr. Simonsen’s lab include cellulose nanocrystal materials and applications of nanocellulose technology. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri, and a Ph.D. Physical Chemistry from the University of Colorado. He is an active member of the American Chemical Society, the Forest Products Society, and the Society of Wood Science & Technology.
